Under the System Information tab in the TPDU console – accessible via the Windows Start menu entry ThinPrint Diagnostic Utility –, the essential information about the operating system and the installed ThinPrint components is displayed – separated into three areas:
- System Information
- Recommended Hotfixes
- Installed Products
System information
Menu | Description |
Computer Name | name of the local computer (on which the TPDU runs) |

Windows Version | • version number of the installed operating system ‒ e. g. 6.3 or 21H2 • with older Windows versions: installed service pack version |

Spool Directory | directory for the Windows print spooler (where it temporarily stores print jobs before sending them to the printer) |

Recommended hotfixes
In the Recommended Hotfixes field there is a list of Microsoft hotfixes – with their knowledge base numbers – that are matched for this operating system and have an influence on printing or on the quality of printouts:

- Clicking Show all Updates opens a list of already installed Microsoft hotfixes including the date of their installation.

In the Installed Products field is a list of the installed ThinPrint, ezeep or Personal Printing components:

(The VMware Tools are a special feature here, because in older versions the print components contained in the VMware Tools also came from ThinPrint. The same applies to Horizon View Agent and Horizon View Client.)
