Preconditions
- Mac computer
with Mac OS 10.13 (High Sierra), 10.14 (Mojave), 10.15 (Catalina), 11 (Big Sur), 12 (Monterey), 13.4 (Ventura), 14.1 (Sonoma) or 15.2 (Sequoia) - ThinPrint Engine version 11 and later (all macOS versions older than Sonoma)
ThinPrint Engine version 13.3 and later (Sonoma and later)
installed on the remote desktops (terminal servers or virtual desktops) - ThinPrint Client version 13.1.3 (when using macOS Sonoma or later versions of macOS)
- Printing over RDP
- on the Mac:
Web version of Jump Desktop version 8.8.28 and later (no App Store version!)
- on the Mac:
- Printing over ICA
- on the Mac:
Citrix Workspace 19 and later - on the Windows virtual machine:
Citrix XenApp (Citrix Virtual Apps) 7.15 LTRS and later
- on the Mac:
Make sure that the Citrix Receiver is installed. We recommend that the user opens a Citrix session before installing the ThinPrint Client. Alternatively, the user has to open a Citrix session after the ThinPrint Client installation and logout and login to the Mac.
You need administrator rights for all stages of installation and configuration.
If you have installed a ThinPrint Client older than 13.1.3 you have to uninstall the old version in install the latest version afterward.
Installing client software
- Copy the installer ThinPrint_Client_ICA.dmg, ThinPrint_Client_RDP.dmg or ThinPrint_Client_TCP.dmg into a local folder on the Mac.
- Double click on the .dmg file to unpack the archive.
- Double click on ThinPrint Client ICA.pkg, ThinPrint Client RDP.pkg or ThinPrint Client TCP.pkg.
- Confirm both the system information and the Welcome page with Continue.
- Accept the license agreement with Continue.
- Click Install.
- Select the drive on which the software is to be installed.
- Enter your Mac credentials.
- A message appears, to confirm that the installation was successful.
The ThinPrint Client Mac will start automatically, when a user logs on to the Mac.
